Disabling Yomitan per-site
Yomitan is a browser extension that lets you hover over words, press a key, and get a definition from a dictionary. For language learners, it’s a godsend.
However, sometimes you want to avoid the modifier key,
usually Shift.
To that end…
-
Open the Yomitan Settings.
-
Click on Profiles → Configure profiles…
-
Click on Add to create a new profile. Give it a descriptive name, like “Blocklist”.
-
Close the dialog.
-
Click on the dropdown list next to “Active profile” to switch to the “Blocklist” profile.
-
Disable Yomitan by toggling the setting General → Enable Yomitan.
-
Switch the Active profile to the “Default” profile again.
-
Click on Configure profiles… → Hamburger menu (the three dots) → Edit conditions… → Add group → Add →
“if
URLMatches Domain$DESIRED_WEBSITE_TO_DISABLE”
That’s it. As easy as that.
Source
Appears to be revolved. It may not be obvious how to create a blacklist but here is how to do it:
- Create a new profile
- Turn off Yomitan on this profile
- Add a url match condition
This will make it so whenever the url condition is matched, Yomitan turns off.
